Our Company
Thank you for the opportunity to share our pest control methods with you. But first, we must ask you one question. Why should you use Donovan's Pest Control to solve your pest issues? After reading the following information, we hope that you can confidently answer this question.
Throughout your life, you have heard fact and fiction about pesticides and the use of pesticides, and because of the information that you have absorbed over your lifetime, you will act upon pest control issues depending upon how you perceive chemicals and bugs in our environment. Therefore, our efforts to control pest issues are structured based upon the specific perceptions & desires of the pest control consumer.
Donovan's Pest Control, Inc. offers pest control services that are based upon sound research and the integrity of years of successful application of knowledge of biology and behavior of the pest organism. Our efforts will address both the pest activity and the entire life cycle of the pest.
Donovan's offers a variety of control options. For example, traditional applications of pesticides are offered, which provide immediate perceived value to the customer by reducing the pest activity, immediately. However, there are many more methods of controlling pests, without emphasizing pesticide applications. These methods follow the concepts of Integrated Pest Management techniques. IPM, simply defined, is an effective and environmentally sensitive strategy that relies on a combination of commonsense practices to control pests where non-chemical and chemical control methods are used. IPM programs take advantage of all pest management options that are possible under the circumstance given.
Donovan's IPM strategies include a variety of options for the consumer. For example, we will monitor environments to determine the type of bug or vertebrate pest in your environments. The information gathered will provide data such as the type of pest, ages, population sizes and areas infested. This information ultimately leads to the source of the pest activity. Our efforts will be targeted and very specific. Most importantly, our efforts will reduce chemicals within your living, working and playing environments.
For example, we might decide to apply naturally occurring biological agents, insect growth regulators, and pest attractive food poisons. We might employ predators (good bugs) to prey upon the damaging bugs. In addition we will provide exclusion services & live trapping. Most importantly, we will remove the hazards that are left behind after a pest control treatment has been performed. We will remove fecal pellets (under certain circumstances). We will remove insect body casts and live pest activity such as roaches, mites, carpet beetles, grain pests, bees, wasps, psocids, ants, spiders and their webs, cluster flies, fruit flies, fungus gnats, fabric pests, flea eggs and other arthropods. In fact, our removal service has a filtration process that removes airborne allergens and dust particles above .3 microns, as small as the size of 1/70th of a piece of hair. Those that are sensitive to chemicals can feel assured that alternative non-chemical methods exist and that these methods provide effective pest control.
